Total Energies, an oil company has contracted GCC Services Uganda Limited, an engineering company to connect electricity to Kisiabi Primary school, in Buliisa town council, Buliisa District.
This was disclosed by Owen Kiiza, the Community Liaisons Officer at GCC Services while speaking to this wesbsite.
Kiiza explained that connecting the school to electricity power will help the learners study better by helping them revise their books since they are in boarding.
He added that the work is supposed to have been completed this year, but since the school closed for holidays, it will be done next year when the school reopens.
The CLO added that the company will also put up an ICT laboratory at the School to ease and improve the education of its learners.
Last week the company donated over 50 plastic chairs to various villages in Buliisa district plus four delivery beds to Avogera health center 3 in Ngwedo Sub County to improve on maternal health services.
