TRESPASSER LYNCHED TO DEATH AT BUKINDA PTC IN RUKIGA DISTRICT

Police in Rukiga are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of a 32 year old Ayebare Angel a resident of Kyishongati cell Highland ward Muhanga town council Rukiga district.
Elly Maate the Kigezi region Police spokesman says the matter was reported by Ruhanga Asiimwe John Bosco 57 the head teacher of St Paul SS Bukinda, who stated that on 9/9/2022 at about 08:30AM the deceased trespassed into St Paul SS Bukinda in the girls Hostel.
He was sighted by some students,who made an alarm that attracted the attention of the headteacher who immediately rushed to Bukinda police station to make a report.
Ayebare now deceased, who was under the watch of some students and teachers, allegedly attempted to escape by jumping over the fence which attracted more students that pursued him, cornered him and assaulted him to near death.
A police team from Bukinda found him unconscious and evacuated him to Bukinda health centre III where he was pronounced dead moments later.
A team lead by the district CID officer D/asp Mbahimba William responded, scene was processed, postmortem done and no arrests were made.
A case of murder by mob has been registered at RUKIGA police station under the reference number CRB 412/2022.
