TWO ARRESTED OVER KILLING A CHILD

In Mbarara–

Police in Mbarara has in custody two people on suspicion of killing a child.

Police has identified the suspects in detention as Jasper Tukamushaba; a waiter who has been working at Councilor Ntengye’s Bar in Ruti Division  and her male mate Robert Tumwine  who hails from Katungu in Bushenyi district.

Talking to the www.mknewslink reporter, Rwizi police spokes person; Samson Kasasira said the suspects killed the one year old child known as Brain Ainembazi whose body was later found in river Rwizi.

According to the deceased’s ; Justine Ayebare who also works at Ntengye’s bar  says on Sunday she left her son in bed and went for work and as she  returned at around 11:00pm she found her son missing which prompted her to  call police  the following morning.

Brian’s body was on Sunday found decomposing in river Rwizi and taken to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital mortuary for postmortem.

Police said Tumwine had been frequenting the victim’s home without a genuine reason.

Kasasira said that once investigations are complete, the suspects will be taken to court and charged with murder.
