TWO ARRESTED FOR STEALING GOVERNMENT DRUGS IN KABALE

In Kabale–
Police in Kabale is holding two people after they were allegedly
found in possession of government drugs.
The suspects have been identified by police as Frank Ensinikweri 34, and Tom Akampurira 25, all businessmen from Kibeho cell, Murambi parish, Rweikiniro Sub County in Ntungamo District.
They were arrested last night at around 01:00am while at Katuna town
border in Katuna town council while transporting a huge box full
assorted drugs worth million shillings loaded in a motor vehicle
TOYOTA PREMION registration number UAY 636C while heading to Rwanda.
Dickens Bindeeba, the Kabale District Police Commander says some
of the drugs that were found in the box include; Coartem, Diazepam,
Diclofenac, Cipro, trixone plus injections and syringes among others.
The Kigezi region police spokesperson; Elly Maate says that the
suspects are in police custody for interrogation after which they will be forwarded to court for trial.
