In Fort Portal—
Police in Fort Portal tourism city are holding two gentlemen who were caught red handed defacing NRM presidential candidate’s campaign posters yesterday afternoon.
Festus Bandeba, Fort Portal deputy resident city commissioner told journalists that the duo whose names were withheld were found red handed tearing off President Museveni’s posters at Fort Portal city center main roundabout, replacing them with posters of another candidate.
Bandeeba warned people against acts of tearing candidates posters saying this is an electoral offence and charged in courts of law.
He advised people to remain peaceful and avoid committing electoral offences that can lead them to jail
Our attempt to reach out to Kabarole district police commander was in vain as he could not pick up our repeated phone calls.
