TWO CHILDREN OF SAME FAMILY POISONED, DIE, ONE ARRESTED IN MITOOMA

One person has been arrested in connection with the death of two children from the same family who were poisoned at their home in Mitooma district.

According to Greater Bushenyi Police Spokes Person Martial Tumusiime, the arrested woman is called Bernadeta Kamashamba who has been having conflicts with the mother of the two dead children.

The children who were poisoned and died were identified by police as Shallot Nankunda 7years and Precious Nuwasiima 13years.

Police added that other two children survived and their mother Stella Kyompaire as they never ate the food.

The bodies were taken to Kitagata for postmortem and the burial will take place in Ijumo parish Mitooma district.
