TWO HELD IN BUSHENYI OVER MURDER OF KIU MEDICAL STUDENT

Police in Bushenyi District is holding two suspects over the murder of a medical student at Kampala international university.
Marcial Tumusiime the greater Bushenyi police spokesperson said the two thugs were arrested from Bugamba in Rwampala District.
Ddumba Anwar 21 was a first-year student of medicine and surgery at Kampala International University Western branch and was killed in cold blood two weeks ago.
Tumusiime identified the two suspects as Benjamin Tindimwebwa who also goes by the names Davis Kanyesigye 23, a resident of Mutojo, ii village,Kabungo Parish, Rweikyiniro sub-county in Ntungamo District.
Police also arrested Twikirize Steven 19, a casual laborer who hails from Nyakasa village,Kahunga Ward11, Kahunga Division in Ntungamo District.
The incident happened in Bwegyerangye cell, ward 4, Ishaka division, Bushenyi -Ishaka municipality, Bushenyi district two weeks ago.
Tumusiime said upon the arrest of the two, statements were recorded from them and they admitted to having killed the deceased for money but after killing him they searched him and recovered only shs.6000.
A number of properties belonging to the deceased were recovered from the suspects which include clothes, A TV set, a smart phone among others.
Tumusiime said the two will be arraigned in courts of law to answer to charges of murder.
