TWO HELD OVER MURDER IN MBARARA

Police in Mbarara have two people in their custody in connection to the murder of Joseph Barugahare a resident of Kyera village in Birere Sub County, Isingiro District.
Police have identified the duo as Richard Bangirana and Asasira Beatrice.
ASP Samson Kasasira the Rwizi Region Police mouthpiece noted that it is alleged that the suspects were earlier seen assaulting the deceased.
According to Kasasira, Barugahare’s body was then seen by Muhammad Byekwaso a resident of Nyamitanga cell in Mbarara city as he headed for Juma prayers.
“He saw a dead body of a man in underpants lying near the latrine and informed us for action” Kasasira said.
Kasasira told www.mknewslink.com that the body of the deceased had a deep cut on the right foot plus other external violence marks.
“The body was removed and taken to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital Mortuary for postmortem” he added.
Preliminary findings indicate that land wrangles could have been the main cause of this murder.
