TWO PEOPLE PERISH IN RUKUNGIRI MOTOR ACCIDENT

Police in Rukungiri district is investigating circumstances under which two people died on spot in Rukungiri town in a motor accident that involved three vehicles.
ASP Elly Maate the Kigezi Region police spokesperson identified the deceased as Tukamuhebwa Annet aka Kakumbi aged 48 a resident of Kyatooko parish and the Fuso Driver Beinomugisha Ezra 40-year-old resident of Rwobusisi.
Maate told journalists today that the accident occurred yesterday evening at about 7:50Pm in Rukungiri taxi Park after motor vehicle UBD 667H Fuso Fighter lost control hence crashing UBG 354J Sienta and UFR 849V Bajaj CT Red in color.
Maate narrated that the scene was visited by the District Traffic Officer Rukungiri IP Tibeijuka and team who conveyed the bodies to the mortuary for postmortem examination.
Maate attributed that, the accident to mechanical fault told our reporter that both vehicles Sienta and CT Bajaj are parked at CPS Rukungiri pending iov inspection.
