TWO SECURITY GUARDS MURDERED IN RUKUNGIRI, REV. ARRESTED

Police in Rukungiri district are investigating circumstances under
which two guards were killed On Sunday night.
The deceased have been identified as Brain Tumubwaine 22years a
security guard attached to security 2000 hails from Ntugamo district
and Rutabindwa Fred 29 years a night watchman and resident of
Byengyerero cell in Bugangari Rukungiri district.
The two were guarding at compassion international offices at Bugangari
archdeaconry Bugangari Sub County in Rukungiri district.
The DPC Rukungiri Moses Nanoka said that though the assailants broke
into the offices they didn’t steal anything in the office.
DPC adds that investigations are on going.
However sources say that the priest Bugangari archdeaconry Rev. canon
Polly Katwesigye and others are in custody at Rukungiri police.
The priest is said to have been arrested after a police dog led the
detectives to his home which is next to the Compassion offices at the
church.
