Police in Rukungiri have in detention two people suspected of stealing motorcycles and selling their spare parts.
The two are; Hebert David Kazoba 60 years and Mwebesa Dickson 20 years all residents of Omukashasha cell, Buhunga parish in Buhunga sub county.
Boda boda riders from Omukashasha noted that they have always suspected them of stealing their motorcycles until Friday when they organized a search into their homes and found motor cycle spare parts of motorcycle registration number UDS 050E buried underground in Herbert David Kazoba s banana plantation.
The police together with boda boda riders further recovered two motorcycles, Bajaj boxers registration numbers UEO 461C and UDX 992X whose owners have not been established .The recovered motor cycles and spare parts were taken by the police as exhibits.
Edison Rwabine, the Officer in charge of Buhunga police post confirmed the arrest and asked the public to remain vigilant, in identifying wrong characters in society, so that they are dealt with according to the law.
