TWO UPDF SOLDIERS ARRESTED FOR DISTURBING PUBLIC PEACE IN KANUNGU

Security agencies in Kanungu yesterday 27 Feb 2021 arrested two UPDF soldiers who were found Lodging in Kihihi Town Council after their leave had over elapsed.
Sources say that the two soldiers were immediately whisked off to the 307 Brigade Headquarters at Mburameizi for interrogations.
The two soldiers identified as RA 224963 Musinguzi Sulaiman and RA Amperene Vanancio were arrested following a tip off from concerned people they had become a nuisance in the public by beating up people at night.
Investigations reveal that the two soldiers sought for an Army Pass Leave for one day from their base but up to now they have never reported back for over a month.
The Deputy RDC Gad Ahimbisibwe Rugaju confirmed the arrest of the two soldiers who are attached to Rwenshama Army Detach.
“Yes I arrested privates Musinguzi Sulaiman RA 224963 and Amperene Vanancio RA 225649 who have been hiding in Hospitable lodge since 18th Jan 2021,” Rugaju lamented.
The arrest comes a few days after the Deputy RDC ordered for the closure of all bars and lodges in Kihihi Town saying that they had disobeyed the Presidential directives on Coronavirus pandemic and Curfew hours.
Efforts to get a comment from the 307 Brigade Headquarters Spokesman were futile since his known numbers were off.
