Bushenyi district NRM chairman Hassan Bassajabalaba and property mogul has challenged Ankole leaders by donating ugx 100 M to Covid 19 national task force.
The Ugx 100 M contribution by Hassan Bassajabalaba was announced by President Yoweri Museveni during his 11th address on Covid 19 broadcast on all TV and radio stations in Uganda.
Bassajabalaba is the leader from Ankole region who have pledged the highest amount of money. Ankole region comprises of 12 districts.
Covid 19 disease caused by Corona Virus was first reported in China in December 2019.It later spread to countries of USA,Canada then to African continent.
It has claimed many lives world wide though Uganda has not registered any case but has confirmed 55 cases and some have already been discharged.
