TYCOON GARUGA DONATES LAND FOR HEALTH CENTRE CONSTRUCTION TO KANUNGU DISTRICT

James Musinguzi Garuga has donated a piece of land measuring 2.5 Acres to Kanungu District purposely for construction of a health Centre III in Butogota Town Council.

Construction of back Health Center III is a government policy for each Sub-county and Town Council to have a functional Health Centre and Kanungu District Local Government wrote to the Director Kinkiizi Developmet Company requesting for the land.

It was after he received the letter that James Musinguzi Garuga on 23rd April, 2020 decided to donate the land in Butogota.

The land in question is located opposite Kinkiizi Development Tea Factory in Bikuto Cell in Butogota Town Council.

Kanungu District Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Kwizera Alex today morning subsequently received a letter where the Board of Directors Kinkiizi Development Company Ltd, granted the land request.

“We as Kinkizi Development Company Ltd have resolved to donate 2.3 acres to Kanungu District Local Government to enable the establishment of a Health Centre in Butogota Town Council” The letter of offer reads in part.

While receiving the offer letter the Chief Adminstrative Officer Mr Kwizera thanked Mr. Musinguzi Garuga for the kind offer and noble love for the people of Kanungu and the development of the district.

Kanungu District Chairperson Canon Josephine Kasya who witnessed the function appreciated the offer and support from a businessman Musinguzi Garuga whom he described as development partner for Kanungu District.

While handing over the land offer letter to the CAO, Mr Musinguzi said it was in his interest and love  for the people of Kanungu and Butogota Town Council in particular to get better health services.
