UGANDA MARTYRS: RUKUNGIRI PILGRIMS REACH NAMUGONGO AFTER 11 DAYS ON WAY

It was jolly and cheerful moment as the first group of Pilgrims from Rukungiri under Christ the King parish, Kabale diocese attended the mass at Namugongo on Wednesday evening.
The pilgrims reached the Martyrs shrine after travelling for 11 days.
Rev. Boaz Murekyezi of All Saints Church Nyakariro who led a team of 64 Christians from North Kigezi diocese told our reporter on Tuesday evening that they had reached Mutundwe in Kampala, remaining with a distance of 27KM’s to reach Namugongo.
The team made a stopover at the home of the late Prof. Bernard Turyagyenda Kiremire and they were welcomed by his wife Norada Kiremire in Mutundwe. They began their last part of the journey to Namugongo yesterday morning.
Another team of 36 pilgrims from Nyakibale Parish led by David Byamugisha also expect to reach Namugongo soon.
