In Kabale—-
The outspoken parish priest of Kitanga catholic parish in Kabale Diocese Rev Fr. Gaetano Batanyenda has said that there is no use of an electoral commission in Uganda because the ruling government is only running its activities.
Fr Batanyenda who is also the head of the interreligious council in Kigezi region was condemning commercialization and criminals in the ongoing politics season.
Speaking to www.mknewslink.com reporter on Monday at Kick corruption out of Kigezi office in Kabale district Fr. Batanyenda said that electoral commission’s employees are employed and paid by the president of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta museveni so Ugandans should not expect results about the loss of NRM party in the general elections.
He also condemned the brutality of police among opposition candidates saying that its injustice because candidates of the ruling government make rallies with more than 200 people contrary to guidelines set by Electoral commission to prevent the spread of COVID 19.
Batanyenda noted that the electoral commission fears to warn security about brutality because they know that it will comprimise president’s program of abolishing opposition in Uganda.
However, he appealed to Ugandans to pray for their country because ever since its existence there will be no political season which becomes more violent than this term.
