The Muslim community in Uganda has joined their counterparts across the world to celebrate Eid-al-adha, which is regarded the second most significant religious festival in Islam.
This is the Feast of Sacrifice when Muslims celebrate the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son Ismael in submission to Allah’s command, before he was stopped by Allah.
According to Shiekh Twalib Hussien Galib the district Kadhi Tooro, the day will be celebrated scientifically and called Muslims to commemorate the day with much care.
However, according to Juma Yasin the Administrator Kabarole Main Mosque, he is very disappointed on how this year’s Eid -Al Adha is being celebrated virtually.
He attributed this to failure by people to adhere to the SOPs which resulted into the second Lockdown.
Muhammad Karim a Muslim calls upon Ugandans to follow all the SOPs to eliminate COVID 19 so that other coming festivities can be celebrated communally.
