Alex Musinguzi said that teachers will apply annually to the Union and then scholarships are offered.
On the other hand, Musinguzi noted that secondary school teachers have never received their 15% salary increment this has demoralized these teachers in doing their work. Only the primary teachers received the 15% increment.
He added that all teachers all over the country will be provided with uniforms to easily identify members of the organization. This year, started with Moroto in Karamoja region and will move region per region every year.
Mr. Musinguzi said this yesterday during district celebration of world teachers day held in Bushenyi town.
The district vice chairperson of Bushenyi, Mugume Ndyahoza advised teachers to have discipline on where they work and call upon other teachers who are not members of the union to join it.
