UNIDENTIFIED BODY DISCOVERED HALF BURIED IN BANANA PLANTATION OF JUSTICE BASHEIJA

Police in Rukungiri are investigating circumstances under which unidentified body of a male juvenile was buried in the banana plantation of Justice Andrew Basheija.
Elly Maate the Kigezi regional police spokesperson told journalists that police recovered an unidentified body of a male juvenile of around 03 to 04 years whose body parts had been eaten by dogs including the right arm nose, mouth and fore face
The body was first seen by Gerald Ahebwa 33 years a casual laborer at the home of Justice Basheija at Kirehe village Kitimba Parish Nyakagyeme sub county Rukungiri district when he had gone to sell a bogoya to one Kakama Junior.
The plantation under Ahebwa’s control is located along Nyaburondo primary school – Katobo Junction Muram road.
According to Ahebwa, they were moving around the plantation in search of ready bananas when they smelt something unpleasant.
“We turned their attention to finding out what the creature was and at an approximated distance of around 04 Meters from the road, we discovered a half buried human being,” Ahebwa said in his police statement.
Police say the scene of crime was visited and documented by the DCID/O and team.
The case of suspected murder was registered at Rukungiri Central Police station under reference number CRB: 459/22.
