UNIDENTIFIED BODY RECOVERED FROM RIVER IN KABALE

Police in Kabale District are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of an unidentified male adult whose decomposing body was discovered floating on Rwabakazi stream Butobere cell in Kabale municipality

The Kigezi Region police spokesperson ASP Elly Maate told our reporter that the decomposed body was discovered yesterday 22/01/2023 at around 04:40pm,

Maate says that a team comprised of regional SOCO, Homicide and fire brigade proceeded to the scene and retrieved the decomposing body and was taken to Kabale referral hospital mortuary for post-mortem while Inquiries underway

ASP Maate requested the public that if anyone is missing his dear one, should visit the Kabale referral hospital mortuary so that is identified and taken for a decent burial.

The Police Spokesperson notes that cases of suspected death by drowning were registered at Kabale Central police station under reference number SD REF: 43/22/01/2023.
