UNITED NATIONS FINANCED 2016 UGANDAN ELECTIONS—AMB. DR NDUHUURA

Uganda’s permanent representative to united nations Dr. Richard Nduhuura in an exclusive interview Dec. 27, 2016 told www.mknewslink.com editor that United nations development program [UNDP]supported a lot the preparations of 2016 elections and the even first ever presidential debates in Uganda.
Amb. Nduhuura whom this editor found at his home noted that the money was used in election civic education, debates among other important elections activities.
He added the UN also concentrated much on setting up the 17 sustainable development goals to replace the eight millennium development goals whose 15 year old period had expired.
“The sustainable development goals are now in place and are being implemented by the UNDP. This is a big achievement to the world especially developing countries” Dr. Nduhuura said
He added that the UN has put too much focus on countries in east Africa and central that are facing instabilities like South Sudan, Burundi, central African Republic and DR Congo among other unstable countries
The UN is giving support to bring about stability in these unstable countries.
