UNKNOWN ASSAILANTS KILL AND BURY A 45 YR OLD MAN IN RUBIRIZI

Police in Rubirizi district are investigating circumstances under which unknown assailants killed a 45yr old man and biried him secretly.

The deceased has been identified as Festo Byaruhanga a resident of Ntunga 1 Kikumba Sub county.

Festo was on 12th dec 2022 found half buried in his banana plantation near his home after 6days of disappearance.

His wife Justine Ashabahebwa explained that his husband left home on 6th around 1am after receiving a call from unknown person and never returned back.

She reported to lc1 chairman who directed her to police,it is from the chairman and police team followed the matter and upon reaching home they were welcomed by the bad smell and flies that led them to where the husband was buried.

They have arrested 2 people and the body was taken to Rugazi health cente 1v for postermortem.

Martial Tumusime, the greater bushenyi police spokesperson has attributed murder to domestic violence.

The case of murder has been reported to Rubirizi central police station under ref no CRB707/2022 as inquires continue.
