UNKNOWN PEOPLE KILL FARMER’S 10 COWS, WOUND 5 OTHERS IN IBANDA

Police in Ibanda district are investigating a case of which unknown people killed ten cows and left five others wounded.
It is alleged that on the night of 5th August 2020 un known unknown people armed with pangas, spears entered into a kraal of George Baguma, a resident of Rwanyabihuka village in Kiijongo parish,in Ibanda district and chopped off his cows’ heads, the legs and tails.
The unknown people are said to have also wounded five other cows by cutting their legs, tails, ears leaving them in great pain.
The Ibanda District Police Commander, Ms Emily Angomoku confirmed the incident and told www.mknewslink.com that four suspects have so far been arrested and taken to Ibanda central police.
She added that the arrested will appear to courts of law when the investigations are complete.
The LC 1 chairperson for Rwanyabihuka Mr. Nathan Mwesigye told our reporter that Baguma was previously attacked by unknown people two weeks ago and they left him with wounded arm before he was rushed to a nearby clinic and has been receiving treatment.
He called for the unity within the parties as they prepare for primary elections.
Mr. Peter Kahungu, a resident of Rwanyabihuka, says that there is high political fever in the area as political parties are getting nearer to vote for MPs, councilors.
