Uganda National Roads Authority(UNRA) communications Officer Allan Ssempebwa and Mota Engil media consultant Mr Kahungu have come out to shade more light on Katungu West Ankole tarmac road which was started on last week.
Mr. Allan Ssempebwa noted that the work will take four months to be completed .
He added that the cost of two and half kilometre road was added on the cost of Katunguru-Ishaka road which is being done by Mota Engil a Portuguese construction company.
Bweranyangi road was annexed on Katunguru Ishaka road after Bushenyi Ishaka municipality MP Arinda Gordon Cowboy asked the president to help the diocese so that the road is also tarmacked.
This was during consecration of Bishop Johnson Twinomujuni on May 28th 2017.
In his reply ,the president told the congregation and the MP that when Katunguru Ishaka road is complete, then the contractor Mota Engil would continue to Bweranyangi and tarmac the 2.5km road.
“Hon MP Cowboy just stay cool, this short road that passes near the late friend of mine Kasimbura’s home is very small and it cannot disturb us, we are going to do it,”Museveni said on 28th May 2017.
