UPC STRONG MAN RURANGARANGA IS DEAD

The former greater Bushenyi UPC stalwart Maj.Edward Rurangaranga has succumbed to diabetes and high blood pressure at his home in Kitagata Sheema district.
The sad news of Rurangaranga’s death has been confirmed by his wife;Winfred Rurangaranga. Talking to www.mknewslink.com on mobile phone this morning, Winfred said the deceased passed away at around 1:00am last night after attending the burial of his friend; Buringa in Ntungamo.
Maj.Rurangaranga will be missed by the people of Kitagata and greater Bushenyi at large for founding Kitagata Hospital and Kanyeiguru Bridge during UPC regime.
Rurangaranga who was a key figure in both Obote One and Obote Two governments became minister of co-operatives and education respectively.
Being friendly to people, in 1991 Maj.Rurangaranga was elected to represent Kitagta sub-county in Bushenyi district council.
He later became the UPC national chairman
