UPDF SOLDIER WHO SHOT 7 RUBIRIZI INNOCENT RESIDENTS FINALLY ARRESTED

27^th Battalion commanders made vigorous hunt and arrested a notorious soldier UPDF no.AX 017942 for shooting 7 Rubirizi residents at night after getting drunk.

The incident took place at 1:00am on 28^th Dec.2020 when Private Bobson Amutuhaire attacked three villages and shot three women dead.

The dead include; Scovia Timbakizire 42 years, Muwanda B cell Ryeru s/c, Man Conrad 22 years from Nkondo B cell Ryeru S/c Olivia Ninsiima sister of the late Conrad.

The four others who sustained injuries are admitted at Kampala teaching hospital and their conditions are not worrying.

Greater Bushenyi police spokesperson SP Martial Tumusiime told www.mknewslink.com that Amutuahire was arrested last evening and the motive of shooting is not yet known but they suspect Alcoholism and madness.

Martial added that the suspect will be tried in court martial to answer to charges of murdering Rubirizi innocent citizens.

The case is registered at Rubirizi police station as CRB 629/2020 and the gun which was used to shoot the 7 innocent people was also recovered, according to SP Martial.
