WE DIDN’T PAY ALL CASH TO NYAMUSHEKYERA ROAD CONTRACTOR—BUSHENYI-ISHAKA TOWN CLERK

Bushenyi Ishaka municipal deputy town clerk Mr. Didas Muhanguzi has revealed that the council never paid all the money to the contractor of Nyamushekyera tarmac road.
He noted that municipal tax payers should not get worried that the defects on road are at the cost of the municipality but rather contractor of Destiny Engineering services.
Town clerk Muhanguzi said this Wednesday Nov.10, 2021 in a press conference held at the municipal council hall.
The municipal council was forced to hold a press conference to clear the air after some councilors and residents complained that the road was poorly made with defects like drainage channel, access to residences.
He also added that there are problems at Pioneer high school Bushenyi where the contractor is supposed to make it better.
According to Engineer Adam, they are still holding the contractor’s 45 million shillings which will compel to complete the works.
Meanwhile, the town clerk hailed the public for being civically aware and demanding for what is due to them because they are taxpayers.
The contractor sum is 498 million shillings and the municipality expects more 200 Million shillings to complete the second phase of tarmacking the road from Nyamushekyera prison to Tank hill.
