By Richard Tumwebaze
In Bushenyi—
Bushenyi District Education Officer Saul Rwampororo has rubbished rumors that some schools in Bushenyi have registered COVID 19 cases.
There have been rumors making rounds that some schools in Bushenyi have COVID-19 cases and that some of the learners are in quarantine.
However, in an interview with www.mknewslink.com reporter, the DEO noted that all those are rumors with no evidence and schools are studying freely since they reopened
Rumors come one month after Uganda ended the world’s longest school closure, ordering millions of students back to the classroom after a gap of nearly two years.
Millions of pupils and students had not attended school in Uganda since March 2020 when classrooms were shuttered as COVID-19 swept the world.
According to the ministry of Health the cumulative cases of COVID-19 since the start stand at 162696, while 3572 have lost the battle to COVID 19.
