WE HAVE BEEN DRINKING BLOOD OF MURDERED BODA BODA RIDERS —SUSPECTS CONFESS

Police in Kazo district have burst a racket of suspected criminals who have been terrorizing the country especially the western region over motorcycle thefts and murder.

Police identified the suspects as Clesensio  Kiiza 20yrs, Godius Ahebwa 19yrs, John Tumuhairwe 29yrs, Sam Ssemanda 57yrs a witch doctor and Enoth Kabagambe 20yrs all residents of Kazo district

Police said that the suspects are believed to be behind a wave of increasing motorcycle thefts and murdering of bodaboda cyclists, have operating bases in Kazo, Kiruhura, Ibanda and Sembabule districts.

While at Kazo police station, suspects confessed to have been killing boda boda riders in the criminality under their group ‘Twilight’.

They also revealed they have been drinking blood of the suspects as advised by a witchdoctor to elude arrest, each suspect would get paid between 100.000= to 300.000= shillings after killing a bodaboda rider.

Rwizi region police commander Mr Richard Ecegu said that police is going to develop this information into intelligence which shall be used as evidence to pin them in court.

He urged people to be vigilant and cautioned boda boda riders not to ride people they don’t know especially at night adding that in case they do so it should be near their places of work

Minister for General duties Ms Karoro Okurut who witnessed the confessions and parading of these suspects appealed to security agencies and local leadership to work closely to ensure that such elements are wiped out.
