West Ankole diocesan Reverends and Archdeacons monthly savings for close to seven years are nowhere to be seen.
According to a credible source who is a serving clergy in the diocese, said they received that money only two months after the take over of Bishop Johnson Twinomujuni.
The source noted that for close to seven years of the reign of Bishop Johnson they don’t know where their money goes which is deducted monthly.
He added that the deductions are between 70,000 to 90,000 depending on the salary scale.
The approximate calculation for close to seven years now, the money stolen by diocesan management is about 2bn.
The deducted money is meant to cater for pension of the clergy after retirement at 65 years.
Even retired clergy earlier complained to www.mknewslink.com that they are not receiving their pension.
Efforts to get a comment from the diocesan secretary Rev. Can. Bathel Namala were futile as his official mtn line was switched off before filing this story.
A disgruntled clergy from Mitooma district wrote a message last night on the diocesan official whatsapp group about the above subject which made Christians discuss on the group till morning of Nov. 10, 2023.
