WESTERN UGANDA YOUTH MP ASPIRANT KATURAMU YET TO BE RELIEVED OF BULLET PAIN TILL 4 WEEKS

The Western Uganda youth parliamentary aspirant Simon Katuramu is yet to receive better medical attention at Ultima Trauma and Orthopedic center Kampala after he was discharged from Mbarara Regional referral hospital on Saturday with the bullet still in his body.
Katuramu was on Tuesday, August,18 ,2020 accidentally shot by police at Koranorya -Biharwe weighbridge Mbarara city.
Katuramu revealed to www.mknewslink.com reporter that doctors at Ultima Trauma and Orthopaedic center say it is currently difficult to carry out an operation on him since they are yet to identify he movements of the bullet which is near a blood vessel that supplies blood to the brain.
He added that doctors have thus given him four more weeks after which, he will be operated to remove the bullet.
Katuramu narrates that he decided to board a lorry truck on the fateful night after his car got a fault on Lyantonde adding that the driver of the lorry truck refused to stop upon being directed by police which prompted them to shoot at the tyres and in the air.
According to Police, another occupant of the lorry was the next morning found dead with his head shattered by bullets.
However, it is reported that the other two occupants are still at large ever since the incident happened.
