WOMAN ARRESTED OVER CHILD THEFT IN FORT PORTAL

Police in Fort-Portal have arrested a woman suspected to have stolen a five month old baby girl.
The suspect Pauline Nalugo a resident of Kasambya in Mubende district was grabbed from Global Lodge Mpanga along Kampala road on Tuesday morning.
According to police, employees at the lodge developed suspicion after the woman failed to calm down the baby which spent the entire night crying wildly.
Vincent Twesige the Rwenzori West Police Spokesperson said that police swung into action and arrested the woman for interrogation.
He revealed to www.mknewslink.com reporter that during the interrogation at Fort-portal Central Police Station, the woman couldn’t account for the baby, she rather broke down in tears.
Twesige told our reporter that the child seems to be malnourished and therefore was first rushed to hospital for urgent medication.
He added that if found guilty, the woman will be charged with offences of stealing a child
