She added that she was forced to make an alarm which attracted locals and in no time wandering around, she saw Kyomuhendo attempting to commit suicide by hanging.
When asked, Kyomuhendo admitted the act and noted that she wanted to commit suicide out of anger resulting from neglect by her husband.
According to Kyomuhendo her husband who she declined to reveal his names has spent over one and a half years without returning home from Kampala where he works as a casual laborer neither has ha he ever sent any money to them.
Elly Maate, the
police spokesperson for Kigezi region said that the child
was rushed to Kabale regional referral hospital where he is admitted.
Maate also said that Kyomuhendo is being held at Rubanda police station as investigations under file number SD 19/27/06/19 into the matter continue.
He condemned the act wondering why Kyomuhendo can punish an innocent child in such manner out of her own problems with the husband.
