A pregnant mother in her 20’s on Friday morning gave birth at Masindi General Hospital gate after gate men stopped her from accessing the hospital premises due to lack of face mask.
According to the care taker who chose anonymity, they first went to Bwijanga Health IV but they didn’t get health workers, and they decided to come to Masindi General Hospital but they were denied access to the facility due to lack of face masks.
Unidentified mother who reported at the hospital for delivery gave birth at the health facility gate in the process of bargaining to access the health facility; she was however helped by the medical workers.
The Masindi Hospital Medical Superintendent Felix Twinomugisha says it was a community matter noting that the pregnant mother delayed to report at the health facility.
On Thursday a mother also gave birth under the mango tree at the same health facility.
