In Kampala–
Presidential candidate for National Unity Platform party Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu today morning attended a service at Rubaga cathedral and was given a few minutes to address the congregation.
In this brief address Kyagulanyi sent his condolences to families that lost their loved ones during the protests after his arrest.
He noted that God is bigger than all strong guns that president Museveni has therefore Christians should continue praying for the country and its citizens.
Kyagulanyi was being cheered by Christians as he gave his brief speech. The congregation included, Rev. Fr. Musala, senior retired politician Kawanga Semwogyerere among other diginitaries.
Kyagulanyi was arrested on 18th Nov.2020 in Luuka district where he was campaigning for the forthcoming presidential elections.
He was transferred to Nalufenya police prison where he spent two nights before appearing in Iganga chief magistrate’s court and was granted bail.
However, after his arrest supporters in Kampala took to streets to protest demanding for his release and unfortunately many were killed as police tried to calm the situation.
