19 CONFIRMED DEAD IN KIRYANDONGO BUS ACCIDENT

At least 19 people have been confirmed in a bus accident which occurred on yesterday evening in Kiryandongo District – 221kms North of Kampala.
According to SSP Emilian Kayima, the police spokes person , Gaaga bus registration number UAK 562 L rammed into a tractor Reg no. UAU 872 M and hit it badly, rolled and hit another Beer truck Reg no. UAT 088J and killed 19 people in total. 3 are juveniles while 16 are adults. Out of the adults, 4 are female and 12 are male.
However, an eye witness said that many of the dead and injured were students returning to school for their second term.
By press time, only 10 victims have been rushed to Kiryandongo hospital, according to preliminary reports.
