FOOTBALL FRATERNITY MOURN FALLEN MUNDIA FORMER SC VILLA PLAYER

Thousands of people in Bunyoro sub region have today thronged Masindi stadium to mourn the former player of Kinyara FC, SC villa and express FC, Hesborn Mundia.
The Kenyan born footballer died on Thursday at Masindi main hospital after battling with the disease for over four months. Mundia has been the head coach for Masindi based Dove FC.
During the requiem mass at Masindi stadium, speaker after speaker described Mundia as a disciplined person who loved his job. Mundia has nurtured and coached a number of successful players in the region.
David Byenkya, the former chairperson Masindi district football Association noted that Mundia is the one who spotted him from Mbale and brought him to Kinyara adding that he told him that his mission was to qualify Dove FC, then plan how he would go back to his home country Kenya.
Byenkya challenged footballers in Bunyoro sub region to emulate Mundia if they are to excel as young players.
He won Zonal mini league trophy with Dove FC in 2016, and several post primary Copa Coca Cola tournament trophies at district level with Kabalega secondary School.
Mudia coached Jordan Pride Secondary school and VCC FC in Masindi and Kiryandongo respectively
Mundia was 39 years; he survived with two wives and seven children. He will be buried in Kenya.
