Bushenyi Ishaka municipality staff have vowed to close hotels and other businesses that sell food whose owners defy to test for communicable diseases like TB,eye and skin diseases that can be transmitted to customers.
This was revealed by Dr.Viola Ninsiima the head of the ongoing exercise of testing butchers, hotels, food vendors among others.
She noted that the exercise started from Ishaka last week, has been in central division this week and will end with Nyakabirizi next week.
She added that those found with TB and other communicable diseases are advised to go for treatment before they continue with their jobs.
Each person tested is required to pay ug shs 10,000 to cater for staff allowance for the staff involved in the exercise.
