Parental Care Primary School situated in Bushenyi town yesterday emerged the third best in national drama competitions held at Sacred Heart secondary school in Gulu Municipality.
Speaking at party to congratulate parents, students upon success in the competitions held at College View guest house in Nyakabirizi, the head teacher Parental care Perez Basiime noted that the school defeated other 53 primary schools that participated in the competition.
He added that the school scooped 5 trophies 1st for original composition in Runyankole with 95%, 2nd for traditional dance with 90%and the 3rd for sight singing with 90% among others.
Basiime told www.mknewslink.com that they are aiming at becoming the best in the next years competitions.
He added that they were the third best in 2018 national drama competitions.
According to the senior inspector of schools Bushenyi Ishaka Jane Tumubwine said that all the schools have been forced to participate in dance and drama competitions at municipality level.
She hoped that by next year, dance and drama within the municipality will have resurrected .

The Member of Parliament for Igara east Michael Mawanda Maranga has hailed West Ankole Diocesan Bishop Rt.Rev. Johnson Twinomujuni for being a strong and enlightened preacher of word of God.
Mawanda said this while speaking after a church service at Kyeizooba archdeaconry today 1st Sept.2019 where Bishop Johnson was the chief guest and preacher.
Mawanda added that the preaching by Bishop Johnson has led people to work hard in their homes to earn a living and food consuption
He gave an example of his mother who was operated on the spinal cord but insists that she must work in order not to be shame the bishop who normally preaches about hard work in homes.
Bishop Johnson confirmed hundreds of conformants into Christianity and none of them failed as others have always failed.
The bishop urged children to look after their parents so that they dont regret producing them.

Campaign launched by Bushenyi district leaders and area residents to save the Kabagarame popular pork market from being auctioned has taken a new twist.
Pork traders who would be affected by the auction have turned against the leaders before the campaign becomes successful.
The traders claim that some leaders with whom they participated in a demonstration are trying to take advantage of the prevailing situation to have the pork market registered in their names.
However, Godon Arinda the area MP rubbished the claim saying that cant happen and assured traders that the place will always be occupied by the women who earn a living from there.
Mid this week, members of Western Ankole Civil Society Organization Forum together with district leaders joined residents to protest against plans by court bailiffs to auction the said piece of land to raise money amounting to 187 million shillings to pay Manfred Muhumuza which court awarded him as costs and damages after he successfully won a land dispute case against Ishaka-Bushenyi Municipal council.
The leaders then signed a petition appealing to President Museveni to bail them out so as to reverse the sale of piece of land.
Meanwhile Gordon Arinda MP for Bushenyi Ishaka municipality and Francis Mwijukye the MP for Buhweju County were yesterday among the revelers who sat inside the makeshift houses while others on the mat as they ate pork.
Town clerk Makune William mid this week told www.mknewslink.com that municipal council also collects 800.000= thousand shillings every month in form of revenue from the market and noted that it will be a big loss to council once the pork traders are evicted
