Ministry of education and sports through the directorate of industrial training has issued certificate of accreditation to Ishaka vocational Secondary School and others to teach skills based short courses.
According to the School director Johnson Nagasha, the certificate was issued this October to enable the school teach short courses like function decorator, biogas technology, bakery, fruit processing, talent development, soap making , chalk manufacturing among others.
The director Mr. Nagasha revealed that the school will open in November 2021 and learners will be examined by the ministry before they get certificates.
The ministry of education came out with this initiative of skills vocational development to help students who have been home for now close to two years to acquire skills which can enable them remain relevant in the society.
The ministry also considered those students who have dropped out of schools to be able to acquire these skills which can help them earn a living in the society.
