BUSHENYI: FORMER IGARA EAST MP CONTESTANT DAN KARUKIIKO SUPPORTS TALENTS

The former Igara East MP contestant Dan Mugura Karukiiko has asked people of Bushenyi to try hard to discover and understand their talents.
Mugura was on Sunday, March 13, officiating at celebrations to mark 25 years of the Beijengye Parish Inter-Clan Championship, at Nyakabanga playground, Kyabugimbi Subcounty, Igara East in Bushenyi district.
He thanked the founders of the tournament which took place in January 2022 and all the organizers for the vision of bringing clans together.
He said that with such arrangements, people will discover their talents and competences which may help them earn a living in Uganda.
Dan Mugura pledged to push this to all sub counties in Igara East constituency which he said will increase on togetherness, and promote culture as well.
He gave out different prizes to all participants that included grass cutting machine, sports uniforms, boots, phones, balls and basins.
Men and women from Batiizi, Basingo, Bahira, Batsyaba, Bahweju, Bakimbiri and Abitira clans participated in the January 2022 tournament which had sack race, girls and boys football match and Basingo emerged the winners of this year’s tournament.
The Kyabugimbi LCIII chairperson Apollo Aryaguma who is one of the founders of the inter clan tournament thanked his fellow Batizi and other clans for always participating and appreciated Dan Mugura Karukiiko for sponsoring this tournament.
The function was attended by many people in Kyabugimbi and its surrounding sub counties Johnson Musinguzi Byarabaha, mayor Rwentuha town council Naboth, Kyeizooba sub county speaker Hon Atwiine Emmanuel among many others.
