BUSHENYI RESIDENTS URGED TO EXERCISE FOR HEALTH REASONS

The retired District Commercial Officer David Byamukama has encouraged Bushenyi Development Finance Trust Sacco members to embrace the culture of insuring their health as first priority before saving their money.
“I call upon every member to insure your lives, avoid sugary foods, make exercises so that by the time you approach 50s, you are not disturbed by pressure, diabetes or ulcers,” Byamukama said.
While speaking at Bushenyi Development Finance Trust Sacco’s Annual General meeting held at Bushenyi multipurpose hall, Byamukama who represented Hon Mary Karoro Okurut as a chief guest asked members to continue saving little money they have, and encourage fellows to embrace saving culture.
According to Lay Canon Nightie Kabukono the newly elected SACCO Chairperson, she will priotise the mobilization of members to support the development of SACCO in addition to educating the members new methods of saving.
Alfred Buroobe a resident of Nyamiko village, Mazinga ward, Nyakabirizi division, Bushenyi district, who has been a member of Finance Trust SACCO for over 7 years has expressed his happiness upon the SACCO’S contribution towards his family development and keeping his money for all this time without inconveniences.
According to the Sacco manager Miss Grace Busingye, the Sacco’s profits have increased compared to last year’s though COVID-19 interrupted their work and people delayed to pay back their loans.
Busingye asked members to continue saving with the Sacco so as to increase their income.
The SACCO has been in service for 17 years and Manager Busingye has served for 15 years.
