TWO HELD IN RUKIGA DISTRICT FOR PLANTING MARIJUANA

Police in Rukiga district is holding two suspects for allegedly planting marijuana in a sorghum garden.
An operation that was commanded by Sp. Ismat Patrick the Rukiga District Police Commander found and uprooted about 30plants of marijuana in a sorghum garden in Rwempisi cell, Bulime parish Rwamucucu Sub County in Rukiga district.
Elly Maate the kigezi region police spokesperson said that after being tipped by a concerned citizen about the existence of marijuana in a sorghum garden, Police rushed to the scene and arrested Nicholas Tukundane and Moses Muhwezi all residents Bulime Rwamucucu for questioning about related charges.
Maate added that more operations are planned in the region to ensure activities associated with marijuana are totally eliminated.
