The emeritus archbishop of mbarara archdiocese who passed away on Tuesday morning will be buried inside nyamitanga cathedral on Sunday this week.
According to official information from the archdiocese, the late archbishop will be honored and the mass will take place to honor him after burial.
Many people have come out to eulogize him as hardworking man of God who loved education and preaching the word of God.
Archbishop Bakyenga is well known as the person who started university of Saint Joseph Mbarara and other schools and institutions which include Paul Bakyenga secondary school in katerera county Rubirizi district.
The late archbishop Bakyenga died at 79years after retiring four years ago.He has been staying in Bushenyi at the Vicar general residence in st.kaggwa Bushenyi District.
He was born in Bumbaire sub-county and they later migrated to kiziiba sheema municipality.
However, as an archbishop will not be buried in Sheema at his home but will be buried in Nyamitanga as canons of the catholic church dictate.
