Counsel Chris Muganzi Enganzi a retired state attorney and currently practicing lawyer in Kampala has officially declared to contest for MP Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality during his eulogy for his late mother Joveline Kabagyenyi.

His mother died on Dec. 23, 2024 after falling down behind the house in Kicwamba village Ruharo ward Bushenyi district.

Counsel Muganzi noted that he will contest as an independent candidate but NRM leaning,

In 2020, he participated in the same election in NRM primaries but lost to Hon. Derrick Kabuura but described the elections as unfair.

He told MP Kabuura, Hajji Idd Basajabalaba, Nicholas Ndyakira that after their NRM primaries, whoever will win, meets him/lion in the finals.

His late mother died at the age of 77 years and left her husband who is 81, Apulinari Byaruhanga.

Leaders flocked the burial and three top ones spoke; Jafari Basajabala, Mp Derrick Kabuura and MP Annet Katusiime Mugisha.

All the above leaders praised the late Kabagyenyi for being a role model. MP Annet Mugisha hailed the late and her husband Mzee Byaruhanga for educating the girl child. About five girls are graduates.
