FIVE PEOPLE PERISH IN IBANDA ACCIDENT

Five residents of Bisheeshe Division in Ibanda municipality yesterday perished in accident and the sixth survived with serious fractures on both legs.

The accident happened yesterday at Bugarama trading centre when a Bodaboda operator of Reg. UEM 078 J who was drunk lost control and rammed into a Mini Bus Reg.UBE 378 A heading to Kamwenge town

The six people were travelling on the same Bodaboda motor cycle while returning from a bar in Ishongorero town council in Ibanda district at around 3:00am in the morning.

The traffic officer, Ibanda district, Katureebe identified the deceased as; William Kamugisha,William Mushabe,Emmanuel Kaahwa,James Kakuru , Tumwine and the survivor as Deus Tumwebaze 22 years currently admitted .

According to Katureebe, two people died on spot while the three died on arrival at Ruhoko health center 1V.

Mr. Katureebe blamed the accident on reckless driving and mechanical problems thus asked drivers to be careful during this Christmas season.
