SUSPECTED THIEF MURDERED IN KIZINDA,BUSHENYI

A suspected serial thief was on Friday beaten to death by residents in Kizinda trading centre Nyabubare Sub County Bushenyi district.

Nobert Akatwijuka, a resident of Kigoma in Nyabubare sub county Bushenyi district allegedly stole a bag containing clothes belonging to Bosco Masiko.

He hid the bag butresidents allegedly saw him and followed him up hence recovering them but mobilized a mob that beat him up.

Police later came and rushed him to Kitagata hospital.

Helater died the following day on Saturday at Kitagata hospital, allegedly from injuries sustained in the free-for-all assault.

The greater Bushenyi police spokesperson SP Martial Tumusiime confirmed the incident and said the matter has since been reported to the police.

He said the police have made some arrests and investigations are underway.

Those arrested are Joseph Bahurire, plus some three others whose identities are yet to be known.
