Sheema district council Speaker Nicholas Kwariija has warned his boss Canon David Kabigumira Chairman LC V to go slow in whatever he is doing.
Kwariija publically accused his boss of selfishness noting that with his seven friends from Sheema district, they tried to lobby mosquito nets from the government and then distribute them to schools but when the chairman learnt of it, he went to the ministry of health and falsely accused them.
The speaker alleged that Kabigumira in his selfishness did this because he thought that the move would add to their political popularity in Sheema district especially in 2021.
Kwariija noted that all the eight lost their jobs and neither did Sheema district get those nets adding that to his disappointment, the vacated jobs were taken up by people only from outside the district.
Kwariija advised his Chairman that before he fights against some people, he should first know how they are helping the society.
He added that he (Kwariija) doesn’t worry because only one and a half years are remaining for Sheema district to say bye to Chairman Kabigumira.
When www.mknewslink.com contacted Chairman Kabigumira, he refuted the allegations that he connived with ministry of health team to chase Nicholas Kwariija and his friends from their respective jobs noting that they were chased by their deeds.
Kabigumira said that Speaker Kwariija and his friends were caught keeping tones of stolen government mosquito nets so that they could distribute them to voters in times of elections to bribe them.
He added that the case against Speaker Kwariija is in anti corruption court, but added that he has learnt that Kwariija is trying to bribe lawyers in the court such that he wins the case, vowing to appeal if the case is judged in favor of Kwariija.
