In Bushenyi………
John Byamukama a world bank officer accuses his maternal uncle Mzee Katuramu Anthony a resident of Ntungamo village, Kyeizooba sub County Bushenyi district of grabbing his late fathers 200 hectares of land.
According to Byamukama through his lawyers of Turinawe, Kamba and company advocates, his uncle fraudulently obtained the lease of the land which belonged to his father late Marichoori Bakamuturaki.
Byamukama told www.mknewslink.com that his late father Mzee Marichori entrusted Mzee Katuramu to process for him a land title but instead Katuramu continuously told Melchior that it wasnt ready until he died in 2013.
After their fathers death, the children of the late mzee Marichoori found out that katuramu had put their father’s land and other neighbors’ into his own names.
Recently, Byamukama brought tractors to dig fish ponds and other projects in the land which resulted into a fight from Mzee Katuramu and family until police from Bushenyi intervened.
When www.mknewslink.com talked to Mzee Katuramu about the matter, he replied
“leave alone that son of mine, I dont know what is wrong with him but for me I will fight until I take my land,”
Some of Mzee Katuramu’s biological sons told us that the case of this land started in 1981 although Katuramu was fighting with other neighbours.
The case is in Mbarara high court. However Mzee Katuramu refused to sign the court’s documents which were brought to him by Byamukama’s lawyer Abu Isaac saying that he can’t sign any document because the land is his legally.
