NTUNGAMO CIVIL SERVANTS ARE KILLING WOMEN FUND PROGRAMME—COORDINATOR

The Central and western region coordinator for the women entrepreneurship fund Innocent Tushabe Rwaguma has  blamed lack of integrity and financial discipline for failure of the programme in Ntungamo district saying that civil servants fail to follow guidelines.

Speaking at a sensitization meeting for sub county heads and district top civil servants at the Ntungamo district headquarters yesterday, he said Ntungamo was ranked last among the 41 districts he is managing which is a big worry on implementation of the project.

Tushabe called on civil servants to follow the project guidelines if they wanted the project to succeed hence bearing fruits in the district.

The Ntungamo chief administrative officer Kaija Samuel Ruhweza said lack of will by community development officers and sub county chiefs in implementing the project especially sensitizing women groups was failing the project.

However Sub County based civil servants blamed the district for not funding them and wanting results out of their personal sweat and financés.
